SIOP Thematic Unit: Poetry

Using the SIOP model, I posted here a three lesson poetry unit that will help my 7th grade English Learning students develop content knowledge in regards to analyzing and creating poetry. Lesson plans and curriculum materials - including slide decks, worksheets, poems, and rubrics are attached. Poetry has been selected in part to help students learn the content in their heritage languages.
